There is so much to say, while not much at all. Georges Hobeika's Spring/Summer 2013 Couture speaks for itself by all means. Though, I shall go as far to call it my most loved since Elie Saab. That is, not a specific collection of Elie Saab, but the initial discovery of one of my favourite designers (who coming at no surprise, has also released a beautiful Spring/Summer 2013 Haute Couture collection). What I'm trying to say is, this is big.
Have I been living under a rock or is this a first time introduction for you too? Nevertheless, I feel as if I've come across a gift. At no complaint, but the fact that I must learn how to pronounce "Georges Hobeika" before I honourably add him to my list of favourite designers.
The collection is striking, appealingly feminine, delicate.. and angelic of all things. What we can take from it? Don't shy away from elegance, purity and femininity, that makes us girls who we are. Let's keep in mind grunge-looks can only take us so far, and winter is almost over. Spring is the perfect time to take on pastel colours, and celebrate our silhouette (even if it needs a bit of work after a long winter). Most of all, and I'm glad to say it, sparkles don't have to be tacky. Don't take it from me, but Mr Hobeika. The Swarovski crystal beading accentuates details and enhances the beauty of lace and floral in such looks. Give it a go in your own way this weekend! As always, have a great one!
